2020 Tesla Roadster will be the second model of the company’s sports electric car. Tesla released her first roadster in 2008.
The development of the 2020 model started in 2014 and, according to the company's plans, the electric car should have the following advantages:

The creation and production of an electric roadster, according to the manufacturer, is designed to maintain the company's leading position in the rapidly growing segment of electric sports cars.
Exterior
Created by designers, the bright sporty appearance of the 2020 Tesla Roadster model year emphasizes the uniqueness of the electric car.
The exterior of the model is formed by:
- strong tilt of the front glass and hood;
- a narrow line of head LED optics;
- powerful and protruding front wheel arches;
- rounded roof line;
- deep curly patterns of front stamping;
- tilted central racks;
- wide rear window with an increased tilt;
- a thin strip of rear combination lights;
- aerodynamic strut spoiler;
- smooth transitions between the elements of the stern;
- dark back cover.
Change the appearance of a sports car, turning it into a convertible, possibly due to the dismantling of the easily removable glass roof. In this case, the removed roof can be freely placed in the trunk. Such a transformation underlines the unusual Tesla electro-roster.
Interior
The four-seater interior of the novelty surprises and impresses no less than in appearance.
Among the most non-standard solutions should be highlighted:
- the lack of a traditional steering wheel, replaced by a helm, which is very similar to a plane;
- using a projection display together instead of a classic dashboard;
- a huge center console with a built-in widescreen monitor with touch control for numerous electric car systems;
- special anatomical design of the front seats with a back passing into the headrest;
- cozy compact back sofa;
- massive side and central armrests;
- the complete absence of various keys, buttons and levers to control a variety of equipment.
In the interior design used high-quality plastic, brushed aluminum and soft flooring. The color scheme of finishing materials is designed in pleasant white and gray tones.
Technical equipment
The high dynamic parameters of the electroderster provide four-wheel drive and three electric motors, with two motors mounted on the rear axle, and another on the front. The total power of the power units is 10,000 Nm. A lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 250 kW / h is used as a power source.
