The Japanese concern introduced its first SUV in 1951. When developing the car, the Jeep concept and the Toyota SB truck platform were used. The novelty received the designation Toyota Jeep BJ and was produced until 1954. In 1955, the production of the second generation of the car was launched, which received the designation Toyota Land Cruiser.
Currently, 8 modifications of the model are being manufactured, for which planned restyling was carried out in 2015.

Salon Land Cruiser, regardless of modification, is always characterized by high comfort and safety. All updates planned in the interior of the next generation of automobiles are aimed at increasing these parameters. According to preliminary information, for this purpose, the car will receive new seats, a modified design of the steering wheel, as well as a modified form of the center console and tunnel. Widespread use of color touch monitors to control various functions is also planned.
The decoration will use modern premium materials, and the manufacturer will present full information about how the interior of the SUV will look at a special event later.
Technical specifications and equipment
2020 Land Cruiser will retain the main structural feature of the model - the frame structure. At the same time, elements made of especially strong and heavy-duty metal will be used for its manufacture, which will increase the frame strength and reduce the weight of the entire SUV. Paired with this engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission is provided.
According to experts, the company is sure to keep a proven turbo diesel engine with a capacity of 249 forces that meets Euro-5 standards for a complete off-road vehicle. Also in the future there will be a hybrid modification of the power plant for the car.
