Holidays in 2019-2020 for students in Tatarstan

The order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation enshrines general provisions regarding the allocation of time for study and leisure, but the final decision is made by each educational institution - minor deviations in terms of time from key norms are allowed. Tentative dates of the holidays 2019-2020 for schoolchildren of Tatarstan are already known - the school administration will provide updated information.

In schools of Tatarstan with a traditional schedule (in quarters), the autumn holidays 2019-2020 will last 1 day longer - October 4, 1919 is the Day of National Unity, so students will return to school on October 5.

Vacation Standards

The order on the distribution of vacation days is signed before the start of the school year (in August). In spite of the fact that the charter of each educational institution may establish dates that differ from the recommended ones, the amendments should not violate the Law of the Russian Federation “On Education”:

  • You cannot postpone rest days for more than 2 weeks;
  • the total number of vacation days during the school year should be at least 4 weeks (excluding summer);
  • significant cuts in summer vacations are not allowed (schoolchildren must rest for at least 2 months).

Vacations in Tatarstan when will be

In most cases, schools adhere to government regulations; postponement is usually carried out if:

  • the institution has been quarantined, which is why students are forced to “catch up” with the missing material;
  • during the training period, force majeure circumstances occurred (for example, it was necessary to carry out emergency repairs);
  • there were adverse weather factors inherent in the region (intense heat, frost, long snowfalls), which made it impossible to study at school for a certain period.

Training options

Currently, training is carried out according to the traditional (in quarters) and block-modular systems. The classical trimester model, in which the academic year is divided into 3 trimesters of 3 months, is practically not used in secondary schools - it is very difficult for schoolchildren to endure for students with only 2 vacation periods (autumn and spring, 17-18 days). To reduce the load, the trimesters were divided in half, which gave rise to the modular system that is gaining popularity (final grades are set at the end of trimesters, but schoolchildren have more rest).

Advantages and disadvantages of quarters

Quarterly training continues to be a priority at this time. Schoolchildren rest during the school year for 4 weeks (1 each in autumn and spring and 2 in winter). One more extra week was given to first-graders - it helps to reduce the load, helps to adapt to the school regime after preschool institutions. Summer holidays are traditionally equal to 3 months. The main disadvantage of such a system is the different duration of the quarters:

  • two of them last for 7 weeks;
  • one lasts 8 and one lasts 11 weeks.

Quarterly training

The load is distributed very unevenly. The longest quarter is considered to be the most difficult, the period of which traditionally has an SARS epidemic.

Plus such a system - students go on vacation, getting marks and passing important control points.Each quarter begins with a “clean slate."

Advantages and disadvantages of dividing into modules

In the case of the block-modular system, the school year includes 3 trimesters (autumn, winter, spring), which are divided in half (intermediate holidays are provided). Each of the 6 periods takes 5 weeks. In summer, students rest for 3 months.

Such a learning model significantly reduces the burden on students. The gap between the holidays, unlike the classical system, remains the same throughout the school year. This reduces stress, helps to focus on learning, allows you to correct the situation if there are bad grades - the final assessment of knowledge is carried out at the end of each of the trimesters.

Module training

The school administration has the right to change the schedule (within 2 weeks from the recommended dates). Most often, the dates of winter holidays are adjusted - it is during this period that an outbreak of SARS occurs. The vacation period between blocks can be reduced from 7 to 3-4 days.

Block-modular system is becoming increasingly popular. A relative disadvantage is the fact that in many out-of-school educational institutions, holidays are held in semester type (after unequal durations of quarters). Some parents say that it is difficult for children to immediately start writing test papers after a rest - in contrast to the standard system, training from scratch begins only after the completion of the trimester.

The dates of autumn, winter, spring and summer holidays in 2019-2020 will be finally approved by the administration of schools in Tatarstan, but they will not significantly differ from those recommended by the Ministry of Education.
