OGE Statement in 2020

OGE Statement in 2020

In the written part of the OGE 2020 on the Russian language in the first task, it is required to write a summary, after listening to the audio recording of the source text twice. Since for many children this task is the second most difficult after composing, we suggest analyzing in more detail the changes announced by FIPI, as well as focusing on the writing rules and recommendations of teachers who over the years have helped students in grade 9 pass the first serious final test with dignity .

New in OGE 2020 in Russian

In the 2019-2020 academic year, all the ninth-graders are waiting for not very good news - a large-scale reform of exam tickets for the OGE is coming, which will affect almost all disciplines, including compulsory ones (Russian and mathematics).

How to write an Exposition on the OGE in 2020

The oral part (interview) is now compulsory for graduates from all regions of the Russian Federation. The exam will be held in mid-February 2020 and will become a kind of admission for graduates of the 9th grades of the 2019-2020 academic year (as the final essay for 11th graders) to the rest of the OGE subjects (including the Russian language, in the framework of which the exposition and composition will be written).

The written part of the OGE 2020 will, as before, include three blocks: a presentation, a test part, and an essay, but a number of significant changes can be seen in the promising CMM model available on the FIPI website.

  1. The number of tasks with ready-made answer options has decreased.
  2. The number of tasks has been significantly changed (in 2020 there are only 9, while in 2019 there were 15).
  3. Maximum test score reduced to 33.
  4. Assessment criteria have been clarified (an examiner can get +10 points for literacy based on the result of checking all work)

The rest of the test format remained the same. So, in 2020 3 hours 55 minutes (235 minutes) will be allotted for the work, among the allowed “helpers” are only a spelling dictionary (provided by the organizers), and the answers must be entered in the corresponding forms, strictly observing the rules for filling them out.

Dates of the OGE 2020 will be announced by FIPI at the beginning of November 2019, but for now, we propose focusing on the important aspects of preparation and starting with how the statement is written and what to look for when completing task No. 1.

Task No. 1 of the 2020 demo

FIPI presented promising KIM models for the GIA-9 2019-2020 academic year. Of course, this is not the final version, and in tickets that will be officially approved, some changes may still occur. But, experts are unanimous in their opinion that they will not be very significant, and therefore, the currently available options for KIMs can be taken as a basis in preparation.

So, task No. 1 of the Unified State Examination in the Russian language of 2020 is a concise presentation.

Task No. 1 OGE in the Russian language of 2020 - presentation

The essence of the task is that the examiner must convert the audio material, with a volume of 200 words, into a text with a volume of 70-100 words, without losing the main idea and important facts.

The first task is no less important to achieve a high result than the essay, because the distribution of points for all work will be as follows:

Criterion

Points

Part 1 - Summary

7

Part 2 - Tests

7

Part 3 - Composition

9

For literacy (all work)

10

The good news for everyone who goes to the 9th grade (or plans to retake the Unified State Examination in 2020) will be the fact that task No. 1 has not undergone any special changes - we write the statement according to the rules that are familiar to all.

In turn, experts will evaluate the work, starting from such criteria:

Tips for tutors

For most children graduating from grade 9 in 2020, the presentation should not be a particular problem, because listening to audio, analyzing information and creating an abbreviated text based on what they heard (which is required by the OGE), they study throughout the entire period of study. Similar tasks are often practiced in the classroom by most teachers according to the program.

The duration of the audio recording is 2.5 - 3 minutes.

Between the first and second listening, the examiner is given 3-4 minutes to understand the information.

The process of working with text can be divided into three main stages:

  1. Listening to recordings with parallel emphasis on primary and secondary information.
  2. The formation of three blocks based on microtems.
  3. Uniform compression of the text of each block while maintaining the basic information.

Important! The volume of text that you enter in answer form No. 1 must be within the framework of the requirements of 70 - 100 words. Also pay attention to the sequence of presentation of thoughts and the presence of keywords.

There are no lists of topics and texts that may occur at the OGE 2020. But, in view of the fact that the task itself has not received significant changes, it is possible to practice based on the materials of the 2018-2019 school year.

It should be borne in mind that in 2020, the OGE will write the presentation only on audio recordings (no teacher's reminder), therefore, it is better to work with this format of material at the preparation stage.

Experienced educators advise:

  1. Outline the main thoughts while listening to the text.
  2. Try to pick out three microthemes already at the first listening, so that at the second approach we will concentrate on trifles.
  3. Use all three compression methods: exception, generalization, and replacement.

The more practice there is, the easier and faster you will learn to recognize fragments in the text that you can omit, rephrase or generalize. The differences between the methods used are shown in the table.

Methods of text compression for presentation at OGE 2020 in Russian

In general, tutors in the Russian language recommend setting aside 90 minutes from the 235 minutes provided for the OGE 2020, leaving the maximum time for composing.

Initially, the work is done on a draft, where you can make any notes and corrections. The draft is not subject to verification! Before you transfer the composed text to the answer form, it is worth checking:

  • the number of microthemes;
  • number of words (remember, at least 70);
  • literacy and coherence of speech;
  • spelling (for this it will be allowed to refer to the spelling dictionary).

Of course, a dictionary check can take a lot of time, so this method should be left for a special case, and words that are 100% in need of refinement should be highlighted in some way during writing.

We also recommend that anyone who graduates from grade 9 in 2020 and is preparing to take the OGE to watch a video lesson on how to write the presentation correctly, which demonstrates all the basic steps and working methods:
