The New Year's fair is not just a place for shopping, it is a platform where you can watch theatrical performances, enjoy fireworks, attend thematic workshops, try holiday treats and much more. In anticipation of the onset of 2020, several dozen New Year and Christmas fairs will open in Moscow.
Traditional
A large number of traditional fairs are held in Moscow annually, where residents and guests of the capital can not only buy souvenirs for themselves and gifts for relatives and friends, but also have fun and excitement.
On the Red Square
"GUM - Fair" is considered one of the most anticipated. Dozens of wooden houses are mounted near the Kremlin, where you can buy souvenirs in the Russian style (nesting dolls, felt boots, scarves, mittens, earflaps) and taste dishes of national cuisine (pancakes, pies, kalachi, ravioli, mead, etc.). But the most important thing is the magical atmosphere of the holiday prevailing at this event, which is created by contests, songs and dances.

At ENEA
Another fairly popular Christmas market opens its doors to VDNH. Under the tents, an area is allocated in front of the central pavilion. Traditionally, one can acquire various achievements of the national economy, as well as taste all kinds of dishes.

One of the largest New Year fairs takes place at the Sokolniki Exhibition Center. Guests of the event can purchase everything they need in order to perfectly celebrate the year 2020 and make friends and relatives happy with gifts, as well as recharge with a great mood. The program of the event includes round dances around the Christmas tree, carousel rides, songs, as well as winter drinks tasting.

On Tverskaya
In the best traditions of Christmas markets, an event is held on Tverskaya. For several days, the street turns into a platform for mass festivities with shops where you can buy gifts for relatives, taste various dishes and drinks, take part in competitions and winter games, watch theatrical performances.

On the Revolution Square
An unusual format of the event takes place every year on the eve of the New Year on Revolution Square. Here, in addition to traditional entertainment of this kind, you can take an etiquette, learn about good manners, and take part in small talk.

In Tsaritsyno
At the end of each year, the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve welcomes Muscovites and guests of the capital with a bright event.During the event, you can buy New Year's toys and souvenirs, as well as taste Kolomna pastille and try gingerbread cookies. In addition, the program includes skiing from the mountains, skiing, songs, dances and even dog and / or reindeer sledding trips.

The above events are held annually. However, on the eve of the holiday, dozens of new venues are opening in the capital where you can buy New Year's decor, gifts and treats on the table.
Vernissage
In 2018, a fair was held in the creative quarter of Vernissage. The guests were able to purchase handmade masterpieces and unusual winter sweets (gingerbread, jam from cones, etc.), as well as take part in games, contests and quizzes. The organizers plan to repeat such an event on the eve of 2020, but the exact dates have not yet been announced.

Dream house
A lot of people gathered last year's New Year's festival in the Dream House shopping center for children and adults. A rich show program, a mass of sales offers, interesting master classes - all this and much more did not leave anyone indifferent. That is why this year something similar is expected, but only even larger.

It’s clear from the name itself that at this fair you can buy a lot of creative things both for yourself and as a gift. Jewelry, decor items, designer dishes are just a small list of what guests of the event held in 2018 could treat themselves to. But it was also worth visiting this event for the sake of master classes. The organizers promised that similar festivities will take place in December 2019.
