In 2020, the GTO fitness center continues its work, the purpose of which is to popularize sports and a healthy lifestyle among citizens of the Russian Federation. Tables of standards differ depending on age groups, which are divided into 11 levels and have three difficulty levels. For fulfilling the norm, which is evaluated in accordance with the type of test, the participant receives an insignia, thanks to which it will be possible to obtain additional privileges upon admission to the university.
Organizational moments
The sports complex "Ready for work and defense" was developed on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation. This idea is not know-how and has already been used in the Soviet Union, however, after its collapse ceased to exist. In 2014, Vladimir Putin proposed renewing the good old tradition, which plays an important role in supporting the health of citizens.
The main objectives of the complex are:
- attracting people of all ages to sports;
- promotion of a healthy lifestyle, starting from school;
- improving the overall health of every citizen;
- patriotic education.
Upon successful completion of all approved tests, the participant can receive one of three types of insignia, which have different merit:
- bronze;
- silver;
- gold.
The award is a badge with a mandatory supporting document made of iron with a coating that imitates the corresponding precious metal.
Citizens of the Russian Federation aged 6 to 70 years and older can participate in the TRP if they are healthy and can engage in physical education in the main group. To do this, you must have a supporting medical report.
To participate in the All-Russian Federal Labor Union “Ready for Labor and Defense”, the following simple steps must be completed:
- Register on the official portal www.gto.ru.
- Fill out the application form.
- Undergo a medical examination and receive a document that meets the requirements of health standards to assign a health group and obtain permission to participate in sports.
- Direct passage of the tests themselves.
The passage of the TRP complex is provided in specialized Testing Centers, which are organized within the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The organizing committee draws up a test schedule indicating the appropriate sports ground. You can find out where the nearest Center is located on the official website of the TRP in your account, which will be available after registration.
You can not pass all the established tests in one day. This is contrary to the Regulation on the passage of the TRP and can not be considered a recreational event. It is necessary to correctly calculate your strength in order to achieve the best indicators.
Participation in the TRP can be implemented in the annual reporting period, which will differ depending on the level of testing. In calendar year 2020, men and women who are over 18 years old and not schoolchildren (VI-XI steps) will be able to pass tests in accordance with established standards. For the adult population, the reporting period coincides with the calendar year and has a quarterly graduation (from I to IV quarter). In 2020, an adult testing schedule will look like this:
- I quarter: from 01/01/2020 to 03/31/2020;
- II quarter: from 01/01/2020 to 06/30/2020;
- III quarter: from 01.07.2020 to 30.09.2020;
- Quarter IV: from 01.10.2020 to 12.31.2020.
For students, there are other time frames. School children can participate in a range of sports activities during the school year. Thus, for them, the reporting period in the new academic year is considered from 01.07.2019 to 06.30.2020.
Participation in the TRP complex cannot be imposed on children (or citizens from other age groups) and is not an obligatory component of school physical education lessons. Testing at the VFSK is carried out exclusively on a voluntary basis. Also, the reluctance to fulfill them or the lack of achievements in the TRP cannot affect the final grade of the student.
TRP standards for students
In the 2019-2020 school year, school-age children will have to pass a certain amount of exercises, depending on their age group. TRP standards are described in the tables of standards and approved by authorized bodies of the government of the Russian Federation.
The results of successfully completed exercises are recorded in the protocol, after which they are entered into the VFSK “GTO” database and displayed in the Member’s Personal Account on the official portal. Obtaining a badge will be based on the following standards for schoolchildren:
Standards for the age of 9-10 years
Standards for ages 13-15 years
Standards for the age of 16-17 years
If the participant could not reach the established minimum, he will still have a chance to retake the test. In total, one exercise can be exceeded three times during one academic year. For retake, a separate individual schedule is drawn up with a prerequisite - a two-week break between passing the tests.
The badge of honor will correspond to the lower bar of the results. For example, if a participant received at least one “bronze” for completed exercises, then in the end he will be awarded a bronze award.
Bonuses and privileges for students
The presence of a reward for completing the TRP, which is in accordance with the standards, will be taken into account when a student enters a university. An applicant may be awarded extra points based on the rules and requirements of this institution of higher education. Information on the number of extra points when providing the badge and certificates for it should be specified directly at the university.

If there is a golden distinction, a state scholarship can be increased for a student, which is regulated by regulatory documents of the Ministry of Education and Science.
