Tuition fees for international students

Applicants from other countries can enter Moscow State University on a competitive basis after passing the entrance exams. An agreement is concluded with them, which provides only for paid educational services.

The cost of education for foreigners is slightly higher than for citizens of the Russian Federation. It ranges from 420,000 rubles a year. Actual prices for specialties must be clarified at the faculties. The contract price for the 2019-2020 school year will be announced after July 1, 2019.

In addition to tuition fees, foreign students face the following additional costs:

  • Russian language courses and specialized subject;
  • payment for accommodation in a hostel, which ranges from 4,000 to 13,000 rubles, depending on the conditions (the administration of Moscow State University does not guarantee the settlement of foreign students in a hostel);
  • health insurance;
  • preparation of medical documentation;
  • translation and notarization of educational documents.

Some categories of foreign citizens have the right to enter and study at Moscow State University on conditions equal to Russian citizens. These include:

  • citizens of the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • citizens of the CIS countries who have a residence permit in Russia;
  • citizens who belong to compatriots, which is approved by the law "On the state policy of the Russian Federation in relation to compatriots abroad" of May 1999.

These categories of applicants will need to provide documents confirming their status. All documents must be translated into Russian and notarized.

The deadlines for submitting documents vary depending on the faculty and the planned level of training (undergraduate, specialty, graduate or postgraduate studies). About they are June 15 - July 15.
