What to do in the last days of the New Year? We offer to spend this time with your family and craft various applications with your own hands. For older schoolchildren and teenagers, this will not be so interesting, and kids and primary school students will be happy to join in the process of creating such original and, most importantly, simple crafts. In addition, almost everything you need to make them can be found in your home.
From colored paper
Let's start with the simplest - with paper. Since 2020 is dedicated to the Rat (Mouse), then the application will be appropriate. But just cutting out paper figures and sticking them on cardboard is not very interesting. Therefore, we propose to make a volume application.
To do this, we need the following:
- 2 sheets of colored paper of different colors (one for the body of the mouse, and the other for the ears. For example, like ours: red and burgundy. You can take brown and red, brown and pink, etc.);
- a sheet of cardboard for the base;
- pencil or pen;
- scissors;
- glue stick;
- a thread of white or black.
Getting down.
1. Draw hearts on colored paper. One big thing is for the torso. Two small ones for ears.
2. Draw a medium-sized heart on cardboard.
3. To make the hearts even, it is easier to draw them like this: bend the sheet in half and draw on it one half of the heart (as in the picture).
4. Cut the workpiece.
5. The largest heart is bent in half, and we also bend the tips of the rounded parts on it to “put” the mouse on cardboard.
6. Draw the eyes.
7. Using glue stick, glue the ears.
8. Now glue the entire mouse to the heart of cardboard. It turns out that the mouse seems to be sitting on it and looking up.
9. Make a mustache: take a small piece of thread and wrap it around the nose of the mouse. For fidelity, you can fix the thread with glue.
The application for the New Year 2020 is ready! A cardboard sheet can have a contrasting color (for example, standard white) or the same as the body of the mouse. Or let the child imagine that it is a clearing and decorate the stand with painted grass or flowers. Or he will make a congratulatory inscription and present the craft to his grandmother and grandfather.
You can make a lot of such charming mice and attach them to a large sheet of Whatman paper. It will turn out a whole family of mice that will decorate the wall of the children's room and bring the New Year 2020 closer.
From corrugated paper
Corrugated paper was originally used as lining material for hats and other items that should not be wrinkled during transportation. Today, it is used for crafts. From corrugated paper, original and magnificent applications are obtained, one of which we propose to do for the New Year.
It will be a Christmas tree, which even a child can do with his own hands. Draw him to make the applique: he will like it. You will need the following:
- green corrugated paper;
- colored paper of different colors;
- a sheet of cardboard;
- scissors;
- pens or pencil;
- ruler;
- glue stick or PVA;
- hole puncher.
Go.
1. We arrange the sheet of cardboard vertically so that the Christmas tree is high.
2. Cut 5 strips of the same width but different lengths from green corrugated paper. Each subsequent strip should be slightly shorter than the previous one.
3. Lubricate the longest strip with glue along one edge.
4.We glue a strip on cardboard, crumpling it a little to achieve splendor.
5. From above in the same way we glue a shorter strip and also all the others. By the way, you can apply glue not on corrugated paper, but directly on cardboard - to whom it is more convenient.
6. From a colored paper we cut out a star and stick it on the top of the Christmas tree. We have it yellow. You can make red, silver, etc.
7. Puncture colored paper in different shades to get multi-colored confetti. It will be balls or garlands decorating the Christmas tree.
8. Glue the confetti on the tree in random order.
The Christmas tree is ready for the New Year! Having learned to glue it under your supervision, the child will be able to make an application with his own hands in the future and will teach friends in kindergarten or school.
There is another way to make corrugated paper applications. This technique is called trimming and differs in the runtime of the craft. Only the most patient and assiduous children will be able to complete such an craft. And if you connect the whole family to the process, things will go faster. Let's try to make a cheerful snowman.
For work, we need:
- corrugated paper of different colors;
- scissors;
- glue stick or PVA;
- silver or white sequins;
- a stencil of a drawing or a pencil with an eraser to draw it yourself.
Everything is very simple, but for a long time. Getting down.
1. From corrugated paper of all colors we cut small squares measuring approximately 1.5 by 1.5 cm. If it turns out unevenly, it’s okay.
2. Roll each piece into a ball. This is painstaking work.
3. We recommend that you immediately remove the balls into a container so that the cat passing by does not blow all the blanks to the floor.
4. Prepare a drawing of a snowman. We redraw it or find on the Internet a ready-made stencil of any other New Year's character. You can make an application of a rat, for example, as a symbol of 2020.
5. Apply glue to a part of the picture and plant balls of the corresponding color on top.
6. Continue this way until the whole pattern is tightly covered with corrugated paper balls.
7. Additionally, we decorate the picture with “snow”, sticking sequins around the character.
8. So that the application does not lie just like that, we suggest sticking it on a bent cardboard and making a postcard.
The application is very colorful and voluminous. It is not a shame to present such a card to friends. Plain paper is not suitable for this craft: corrugated paper is needed, because it is softer and holds the shape of a ball better. It is sold in any stores for creativity.
From cotton pads
Quite non-standard, but very common in recent times, material for creating crafts. Cotton pads are cheap, and crafts from them are obtained not only voluminous, but also fluffy. There are a lot of application options. Let's start with the most obvious attribute of any New Year - with the Christmas tree.
To make it, we need the following:
- many cotton pads;
- hot glue;
- small decorative ornaments in the form of hearts, stars, balls, etc.
- color sheet of cardboard (not white).
Everything is done extremely simply and quickly.
- We turn each cotton disk into a bag and glue it so that it does not separate.
- We glue a decorative element inside the bag (you can take ordinary large beads from old beads).
- Glue the folded pads, starting from the bottom. Each subsequent row should be shorter by 1 bag.
The size of the tree can be any. If you wish, you can take the A1 sheet format and make a huge Christmas tree. True, it will require several packs of cotton pads. But the finished Christmas tree can be hung on the wall as the main attribute of the New Year.
Cotton pads are good for making applications because they can be painted in any color. To do this, use 2 methods:
- painted with felt-tip pens or markers;
- dipped in water tinted with watercolor paint.
Therefore, you can pre-color the cotton pads in green and make a more natural Christmas tree. Someone uses felt for such crafts, but this is more expensive material for creativity. Using fantasy, you can come up with many different applications with New Year characters or landscapes.
Attention! Only hot adults can work with hot glue. Children can only be admitted to the process as observers or assistants for painting cotton pads.
For the smallest children, you can offer to make such an application for the New Year with your own hands. You cut tree trunks from felt or colored paper, and let the kids stick cotton pads with glue stick.
Also, kids can easily cope with a snowman, to create which you need only 3 cotton pads and felt-tip pens to finish all its body parts. The scarf is made of knitted threads.
The application “Night landscape” will look good on cardboard of dark blue color imitating night. According to the photograph, it is clear that from cotton pads you need to cut Christmas trees and a crescent with scissors.
If you carefully cut cotton pads, you get such a playful bunny. The inner part of the ears, as well as the eyes and nose, are made of felt, but you can use the same colored cotton pads.
To make such a bullfinch on a branch, you will need only 4 cotton pads. 3 of them are painted in black, and 1 - in red. From colored paper we make a branch on which the bird will sit, as well as a beak for it. Instead of an eye, you can use a bead. Snow on a branch is simulated with ordinary cotton wool. If she’s not at home, just divide a clean cotton pad into 2 halves along: from the middle, you can get enough fleece for snow.
You can create whole compositions on a large paper: for example, bunnies are jumping around the Christmas tree, a charming snowman is smiling nearby, and a bullfinch is sitting in the upper corner of the applique. Imagine and experiment: on the New Year's Eve, it perfectly cheers up and makes the family even more friendly.
