RPL 2019-2020: the beginning of the season and schedule

The beginning of the RPL season 2019-2020 is scheduled for July 14. Millions of fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the Premier League, as the new rally promises to be one of the most interesting in recent times. Whether Zenit will be able to defend the league title, whether Lokomotiv and Krasnodar will be added, whether CSKA and Spartak will be rehabilitated for the failure, the upcoming draw will answer all these questions. In addition to the game intrigue, RPL spectators are expected to have several innovations, which will be discussed in more detail later.

Championship Regulations

In the RPL 2019-2020, 16 participants will remain. With the expansion to 18 teams, it was decided to postpone, while most of the Premier League clubs spoke out against this innovation. As a result, the rules of the championship did not change: 30 rounds awaiting the fans according to the “each with each” principle, that is, each football team will hold two masts with opponents from the standings - in their own stadium and on the opponent’s field. For the victory, 3 points are still awarded, for a draw, the participants of the meeting are awarded 1 point each, the loser does not receive points.

The winner and vice-champion of the RPL 2019-2020 will receive the right to play in the most prestigious club championship of the continent - the Champions League. Third place guarantees the right to participate in the qualification for this tournament. The fourth to sixth places allow you to play in the second most important continental championship - the Europa League. Teams that ranked fifth and sixth in the RPL 2019-2020 standings will start with qualification. The fourth team, as well as the winner of the Russian Cup, falls into the group stage of LE.

RFPL match

Clubs that ended up in the 13th and 14th places in the Russian Championship will play on May 21 and 24, 2020 with the third and fourth FNL teams, respectively, for the right to participate in the Premier League for the next season. Joints are held in two circles, that is, one match will be played at home, and one on the opponent’s field. Clubs that find themselves in the last two places (from 15 to 16) automatically fly from the elite to Fnl.

League innovations

In the new season, the Russian championship will undergo a number of changes:

·  breeding teams from European competitions in the domestic championship;

·  new principle for the formation of the RPL 2019-2020 schedule;

·  system introduction Var.

So, the 2019-2020 RPL games calendar is designed in such a way that football teams playing against each other in European competitions do not meet for a week. Certain amendments have been adopted in scheduling matches: for example, closer to winter, tours will be held in regions with a warm climate, which will make it possible to improve the quality of the game and increase the entertainment of meetings. Within the framework of the tour there will not be more than one match with the participation of the Top 5 league teams (Zenit, Lokomotiv, Krasnodar, CSKA, Spartak). This measure, according to the organizers of the championship, will improve the occupancy of stadiums.

FC Spartak

The implementation of the system deserves special attention. Var in the domestic championship. After successfully testing the video assistance system for referees in La Liga and Italy, it was decided to introduce it within the Premier League (FNL will wait a while). You can argue about the benefits VarHowever, for the RPL this innovation is vital given the frankly low qualifications of many referees.Now the coaches will have less reason to favor not mediocre refereeing, and the referee will be able to order a video review in any contentious situation and make a fair decision.

List of participants

Instead of “Anji” and “Yenisei” that took off last season, the composition of the RPL 2019-2020 participants was replenished by FC “Tambov” and “Sochi”. “Ufa” and “Wings of the Soviets” retained their seats in the elite following the results of the junctions. Already in the first round of fans are waiting for several exciting confrontations. The newcomers of the season, “Tambov” and “Sochi”, immediately won the rivals of the national football “Zenit” and “Spartak”, respectively. Whether the debutants will be able to present a surprise, how seriously the champion of last season will take the defense of the title, whether the mercilessly criticized Spartak will be able to please his fans - the answers to all these questions will be known on June 13 and 14. The match between Lokomotiv and Rubin deserves special attention. Vice champions of last season will take a strong middle peasant. In Kazan, the coach changed in the offseason, so more attacking football and unexpected results should be expected from them.

Contenders for victory

The start of the RPL 2019-2020 is just around the corner, and bookmakers are actively taking bets on the championship in the new season. On the sweepstakes the smallest odds (therefore, the biggest chances of winning) are given to the following teams:

·  "Zenith";

·  "Locomotive";

·  Krasnodar

·  “CSKA”;

·  "Spartacus".

The greatest likelihood of a repeat of last year’s success is with St. Petersburg Zenit. The richest club in Russia has not yet been purchased on the transfer market before the Champions League, however, without a doubt, a couple of high-profile players will surely join the club. Given the current clip, Zenit is rightfully considered the main contender for the title.

FC Zenit

“Lokomotiv” and “Krasnodar” did not make high-profile acquisitions during the off-season, but managed to save all their leaders. “Zheleznodorozhniki” in the new season will rely on trusted players and the magic of Yuri Palych, and the “bulls” will try to squeeze the most out of youth and the attacking style of play. Without a doubt, these teams will become the main rivals of Zenit in the champion race.

“Dark horses” in the upcoming season look “CSKA” and “Spartak”.“CSKA” last season took only fourth place and did not get into the Champions League, which significantly undermined the club’s budget. Despite this, CSKA is desperately trying to keep its leaders, in particular, there was a rumor about its intention to buy Nicola Vlašić from Everton and keep the team leader Mario Fernandez. Spartak is entering a large number of problems in the new season, both in composition and in its coaching position. Oleg Kononov, with all his talents, did not become an authority for football players. It is still unclear what will happen to captain Denis Glushakov and a number of players. With such a negative background, red and white will have to demonstrate their best qualities from the first rounds.

Thus, the RPL 2019-2020 starts already on July 12, and the last round is scheduled for May 17. For 30 rounds the champion and prize-winners of the championship, as well as the main losers of the tournament will be determined. Teams will lead an uncompromising struggle for prizes or the right to remain in the elite, and many beautiful goals and unexpected results await the fans.
