OGE literature in 2020

Graduates who graduate from the 9th grade in the 2019-2020 academic year and dream of connecting their lives with philology or journalism will have the opportunity to practice passing the literature exam as part of the OGE 2020. According to past statistics, literature is the most unpopular subject among ninth graders. As a discipline of his choice, just over 3% of graduates choose it. But, in the coming years, everything can change, because the number of exams they want to increase to 6 and the students will need to choose not 2, as before, but 4 subjects to choose from. But, in 2020, such radical changes are not expected and graduates of 9th grades should prepare for 2 compulsory subjects and choose an additional 2 disciplines of their choice.

Dates

On which days literature exams will be held as part of the preliminary session and the autumn retake of GIA-9 in 2020, it will be known closer to the end of autumn. But today there is information about what the OGE schedule will be for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Exam format

Many graduates are afraid in 2020 to pass the exam on literature, because its format is significantly different from other exams - tickets do not contain such tests familiar to many, and when completing work, you need to refer not only to the large amount of information stored in memory, but also to express your own opinion .

Indeed, the GIA-9 format for the subject of “literature” differs significantly from the rest of the tests, as evidenced by the following facts:

1. This is the longest exam, because it takes 235 minutes (3 hours 55 minutes) to complete the work.
2. The tickets provide the right to choose questions.
3. Subjects are allowed to use collections of lyrics and full texts of fiction (all provided by the organizers).

At the same time, graduates of 9th grades will take all the GIA subjects this season on the basis of their school.

Major changes

In 2020, at the OGE on literature, graduates will have to complete 4 tasks (as in 2019).

The tickets questions will be divided into 2 parts:

Important! In the OGE 2020, there are no tests with answers in the literature. When completing the tasks of the first part, it is necessary to give a short detailed answer. For questions No. 1, 2 - from 3 to 5 sentences, for task No. 3 - from 5 to 8 sentences.

In the specifications, KIM developers recommend dividing the allotted time between the two parts of the ticket approximately equally - 2 hours to work on the first block and 1 hour 55 minutes to compose.

Part number 1 includes 3 tasks with the ability to choose one of two questions (recall that in the preliminary version of the 2020 KIMs, 4 were planned for them). For example, when solving the first task, the examiner should choose either question 1.1 or question 1.2. You cannot answer both questions! You only spend time, because the testers will not evaluate the second answer.

When executing the first block, it is important:

• write correctly;
• Do not distort the position of the author;
• avoid factual and logical errors;
• monitor compliance with speech standards;
• fill in the form carefully, in legible handwriting.

Part number 2 He will invite the examinee to write an essay by choosing one of the 5 proposed topics (in 2019 there were 4 variants of topics). So, in the demo version of the new sample, the following topics are proposed:

When writing an essay, it is worth considering the following important facts:

• the optimal volume is 200 words (works that contain less than 150 words are not evaluated);
• the text should be based on the position of the author, but at the same time express the opinion of the examinee;
• allowed to open texts of works;

Naturally, when performing all 4 tasks, you can and should use a draft. It is worthwhile to know that all entries made on a draft or in KIMs between the lines will not be taken into account when checking the work!

Grading

In 2020, according to the literature on the OGE, you can score a maximum of 39 points (in 2019 there were 33 points).

The rating structure will be as follows:

Important! The last parameter “for literacy” is set taking into account the observance of the language norms by the examiners when performing all 4 tasks.

Since there are no tests in KIMs, both parts of the OGE literature are checked by experts in accordance with the assessment criteria established by the FIPI.

The points accrued for each of the tasks and for literacy are summed up and transferred to a 5-point rating according to the recommended correspondence table. Since the maximum score has changed significantly from 33 (in 2019) to 39 (in 2020), the old table is no longer relevant.

For GIA-9 in 2020, on the subject “literature”, a new table was developed for converting the primary test score into an assessment.

Secrets of preparation

Obviously, high-quality preparation for the exam in literature is impossible in one month, and students who pass this subject in 2020 should think about the upcoming exams today.

The main difficulty of the subject is the large amount of information that a graduate must possess and the need to form a practical skill for a competent and logical presentation of thought.

Step number 1. Read and take notes

It is best to read each of the works in the original, writing the most basic in the reader's diary. If the preparation takes place in a short time, you can take advantage of alternative options - an abridged version and criticism. Step number 2. As much practice as possible

Step number 3. Writing an essay

Task number 4 - an essay on one of the five topics proposed in the ticket. Although the choice for ninth graders is quite large, for most of them this task seems to be the most difficult. In order to feel confident in the exam, it is necessary to work out all possible topics, make a plan for the future essay and pick quotes from the works.
