Officially, the Manchester United uniform for the 2019/2020 season will be presented in May 2019. However, several photos of the prototype of the team’s home and reserve t-shirts have appeared on the network so far, based on which we can make an idea about the future appearance of the Red Devils uniforms.
Home equipment
At the beginning of April, an information leak and a photo of the new Manchester United 2019/2020 form from Adidas appeared on the Internet. Soon after, the editors of the popular Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series of games published a set of home equipment on Twitter. It is expected that this is what the basic t-shirt will look like in reality.
The creator of the new form for Manchester United in 2019 is the designers of the German sportswear manufacturer Adidas. The team collaborated with the company in the 80-90s of the last century. After a long break in 2015, a new contract for 10 years was again signed with her. Homemade T-shirt made in classic red colors. It has a round collar with a black stripe fringing. Three flat are applied on the shoulders. They are also red, but a darker shade, as are the sleeve cuffs.
Red is the traditional color of the team. For several decades now, from season to season, home equipment has this particular color. It corresponds to the nickname of the club's players - “Red Devils”.
Designers used a modern approach when creating team equipment. The T-shirt looks very concise, without unnecessary details, emphasizing the traditional style of the legendary English football club. Only a few elements stand out:
- black edging of the gate;
- logos of the main sponsors;
- official coat of arms.
Sponsors
In the center of the t-shirt is the corporate image of Chevrolet - the title sponsor of Manchester United. The logo is used in the classic version, and underneath it is the company inscription in large print, made in white. It is clearly visible on a contrasting dark red canvas.
The automobile brand Chevrolet is a division of General Motors Corporation, with which the team has been working since 2012. Under the terms of the contract, Chevrolet has been a title sponsor since 2014. This collaboration brings the club about $ 80 million a year. The Adidas logo is located on the upper right side of the shirt. It is depicted in black and stands out discreetly against a general red background. Adidas is not only a supplier of uniforms for players, but also acts as one of the main sponsors of the club. In the 2018/2019 season, the sponsor logo first appeared on the shoulder of the T-shirt. Kohler was awarded the honor, with which the team signed a contract in 2018. It is expected that these innovations will continue in the new season.
Club symbols
The coat of arms of the team is located on the left chest. It is made in a combination of black and gold and placed on a shield. A similar image of the main symbolism of the club has echoes for the 1998/1999 season, when Manchester United won the Champions League Cup, defeating Bayern 2-1. This period became legendary for the team and the history of football, when in one season Manchester United managed to get the main trophies in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
Presumably, the 2019/2020 form will have other discreet attributes of that glorious time: the image of the match score in the Champions League, or the dates of victorious battles.
It is expected that shorts and leggings of home equipment will also correspond to the winning season. At that time, the shorts were white with the application of contrasting stripes and the image of the coat of arms. Leg warmers were performed in black.
Guest form
Little is known about the second set of football ammunition for players. His photos have not yet been presented to the public either on the official pages of the team or in other sources.
Club designers continue to maintain intrigue around the main color of the guest form of the “Red Devils”. Rumor has it that it will not be red at all, but beige. For additional elements, use pale red and black tones.
A similar experiment has already been conducted in the season 2018/2019. Then, for the guest outfit, a pale pink color was used, combined with dark pink and black details.
Spare gear
The t-shirt of the third form “Manchester United” is made in black. Gray made with stripes on the shoulders and fringing of the sleeves. The bright elements on the front are the logos of the title sponsor Chevrolet - in the center, as well as the Kohler company - on the shoulder. They are shown in white and contrast well with the main background.
No less noticeable are the Adidas logo on the right side of the chest, and the club emblem on the left. An expressive bright orange hue was used for them.
On the fabric itself throughout the fabric of the T-shirt, patterns of dark gray in the form of roses are applied. It is assumed that this print is dedicated to the anniversary of the match in 1909, when Manchester United won their first FA Cup. This is indicated by the inscription on the hem of the T-shirt: 110 Years - Manchester Rose - 1909_2019. During those events, the Lancashire red rose, which is the central element of the county flag, was depicted on the players' uniform.
