Model history
The first production Escalade, built on the basis of Yukon Denali, appeared on the American market back in 1999, as a competitor to the then popular Lincoln Navigator SUV. But already in 2001, the first model was replaced by the second generation, designed on the GMT800 platform, which, in addition to the classic 8-seater, also received an elongated body version (ESV) and a pickup version (EXT).
The third generation Cadillac Escalade began to be produced in 2006, and even today (in 2020) these cars can be found not only on US roads, but also in Russia, because they were officially presented on the domestic market. As a rule, this is a car with classic and hybrid powertrains, assembled at a plant in Kaliningrad.
Now in the showrooms the 4th generation of the Escalade SUV is presented, the release of which started in 2014.
Even after 20 years, interest in the model does not dry out, because it has such undeniable advantages as:

Although the manufacturer carefully hides the details of the new design, today we can assume that the new product will receive:

- L-shaped modules DRL;
- large grille;
- stylish chrome finish;

- wide sills for a more comfortable fit;

- new rear light geometry.
It is likely that in the exterior of the 5th generation of the largest SUV from the Cadillac company, a new design line will be viewed, implemented in the already presented XT6 model and 2020 Escala concept.
At the same time, the car will retain its impressive dimensions and features characteristic of the model.
Interior
In the interior of the new premium SUV, everything will be at the highest level.

Escalade 2020 will be designed on the old cargo platform, but will already receive an independent rear suspension, which should, in the opinion of the designers, bring the car in comfort to the SUV class, which will be especially noticeable for owners of a pickup truck.
Price and start of sales
It is still unknown when the new Cadillac Escalade may appear in car dealerships and what its price will be for Europe, but the official presentation of the new items should take place before 2020.
Although official information about the trim levels and prices for the largest and most luxurious SUV from Cadillac is not yet available, experts believe that the cost of the 5th generation of Escalade will increase significantly. If the price of the model now presented at car dealerships starts at $ 85,000, then for the new version in the minimum configuration they can request about $ 88,000. The gap between the upper price bar will be more significant. So, for the 4th generation car in the maximum equipment, today the owner can pay about $ 100,000, and the “charged” novelty of 2020 will cost customers about $ 120,000.
Nevertheless, the company management does not see any problems in the rise in price, because potential buyers of Cadillac Escalade, whose main competitor is also quite expensive Lincoln Navigator, are those who are wealthy, willing to pay for exclusivity and technical innovations.
Most likely, the model will enter the Russian market only after a successful debut in the USA and Europe. What modifications will be available to domestic customers, as well as what will be the price range of the model in Russia, can be said only after the official presentation.
