Meat dishes for the New Year 2020 will be on almost every festive table. Mistress of the Year Rat is considered an omnivorous animal. And although it does not apply to predators, it will be glad to appetizers and hot dishes of veal, lamb, pork, poultry. There are no special restrictions. The main thing is that the meat should be lean. It is advisable to give preference to treats from simple and affordable products.
Meat balls
Since the Rat loves various pastries, New Year's dishes in 2020 can be supplemented with meat balls with puff pastry. The appetizer is delicious and hearty. It looks unusual on the festive table, although it is simply prepared.
The following should be taken from the products:
- 0.5 kg of minced meat;
- 0.5 kg puff pastry;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- some salt;
- 1 onion;
- 100 g of hard cheese;
- one egg;
- sesame;
- pepper or spices.
For the balls, any mincemeat is suitable - from pork, beef or even chicken. It all depends on personal preferences and wishes. The main thing is that the stuffing is non-greasy. Chop the onion and garlic, and then add to the minced meat. Also add salt, egg and pepper. If desired, you can add your favorite herbs or spices. Mix well.
Roll out the dough and cut into thin strips. Rub the cheese. From the forcemeat, form medium-sized balls. Sprinkle cheese on all sides, and then wrap with dough. Stripes with dough should be wound like threads on a ball.
Lay the balls made on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and put in the oven. Bake at 180 degrees until the dough is a beautiful golden color. A good addition to the dish will be fresh vegetables.
Pork with prunes and dried apricots
And although it takes a little time and effort to prepare a dish, its taste qualities will easily satisfy even the most sophisticated gourmet. To please guests with juicy and tender pork, you need to prepare the following ingredients:
- a whole piece of meat for 1.2-1.5 kg;
- 12-15 pcs. dried apricots;
- 12-15 pcs. pitted prunes;
- 2 table. spoons of the skate;
- a third of a glass of water;
- 3 table. tablespoons of sour cream or mayonnaise;
- 130-150 g of hard cheese;
- a pinch of nutmeg;
- a pinch of salt;
- a little black pepper;
- 20 g of fresh ginger;
- 1.5 teaspoons of dried mustard seeds.
Pork is being prepared in stages:
Wash dried fruits with cognac and water. Add chopped ginger. Send to a small fire. Simmer until liquid has completely evaporated.
Then go in for meat. Rinse it and make cuts almost the entire width every 2 cm. Inside the cuts should be greased with sour cream or mayonnaise.
Inside each cut, put a few dried fruits and a thin slice of cheese.
From 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise or sour cream, spices and mustard, prepare the sauce. Coat them with pork from all sides, and then send them to the refrigerator for a couple of hours. This time will be enough for the meat to be well marinated.
Bake at a temperature of 200 degrees for 1.5 hours, covering with foil. Then remove the foil and continue to bake for 15-20 minutes so that the pork is browned.
Christmas duck with rice and almonds
Since the Rat loves cereals, it is advisable to prepare meat dishes with rice, buckwheat or other cereals on the New Year's table in 2020. A good treat and a real decoration of the table will be a stuffed duck.
A minimum set of products will be required:
- duck;
- 200 g of almonds;
- 0.5 kg of any stuffing;
- 250 g of rice;
- 2-3 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
- salt;
- cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper.
First, wash the duck carcass well, pour over boiling water, and then dry it with a paper towel or towel. Rub the bird with salt and pepper. Depending on personal preferences, you can use regular black pepper or a mixture of peppers. Spicy lovers are not forbidden to sprinkle duck chili. Then coat the carcass with mayonnaise and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, but more can be.
Boil rice until half cooked. Lightly fry the almonds in oil. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, rice and minced meat. Mix everything.
Sew the duck's throat, fill it with the cooked rice mixture. Lubricate once more with mayonnaise. Wrap the carcass in foil and send it to the oven, preheating it to 200 degrees. After an hour, you need to slightly reduce the temperature and open the foil. Bake for another 30-40 minutes until a golden crust appears. Serve the dish hot. The advantage of stuffed ducks is that you do not need to separately prepare a side dish.
Beef Stew with Soy Sauce
If you don’t have time to stand at the stove all day (especially true for housewives who work on December 31), you can cook a simple and tasty beef dish. Available products should be taken:
- half a kilogram of beef (pulp will be required);
- one onion;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 2 table. tablespoons of sesame oil;
- one tomato;
- 50 ml of soy sauce;
- 1 teaspoon of honey;
- pepper.
Rinse and dry the meat. Cut into small pieces. Onion cut a quarter into rings or half rings, tomatoes into large slices.
Preheat the pan. Add oil. If there is no sesame oil, use olive or other vegetable oil. Transfer the beef and prepared vegetables to the pan. Add soy sauce. Simmer for about an hour, covering the speed with a lid. Usually vegetables and meat let in enough juice, so you do not need to add water.
After an hour, add minced garlic, honey and pepper to the meat. Continue to simmer without a lid until all liquid has completely evaporated. Serve hot. Fresh vegetables will be a good addition to beef.
Stuffed Chicken Drumsticks
Stuffed chicken drumsticks can complement the list of delicious meat dishes for the New Year 2020. For cooking you will need:
- 8-10 chicken legs;
- 200 g of cheese;
- 200 g of mushrooms;
- salt and spices;
- 4-5 table. tablespoons of mayonnaise.
If a large family or a group of friends gathers around the table, then the number of ingredients should be proportionally increased. The most difficult and responsible in cooking is considered to be the preparation of the legs for stuffing.
Shins are prepared in the following sequence:
Gently pull off the skin without tearing it. Chop off the bone with the meat in the lower part of the lower leg. The skin should make a bag for stuffing.
Cut the meat from the bone. Twist it into a meat grinder or chop it finely with a knife. Fry mushrooms or other mushrooms in a pan. You can add chopped onion to the mushrooms.
Rub cheese on a grater. In a bowl, mix chopped chicken, cheese, and mushrooms. Salt and pepper the mixture. Mix well. With the prepared filling, fill the bags of the skin. Sewing them is optional.
Lubricate the drumsticks with mayonnaise and let them stand for a while (20-30 minutes). Bake at a temperature of 180-200 degrees 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Rack of lamb with rosemary
Among the recipes of meat dishes that can be prepared for the New Year 2020, it is worth paying attention to the gentle rack of lamb. Even a novice hostess can cope with its preparation without problems, but the taste of the dish will not leave guests indifferent.
First, prepare the ingredients:
- 1 kg rack of lamb;
- a bunch of fresh rosemary;
- 1-2 onions;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 100 ml of red wine;
- 250 ml of meat broth;
- 3 cinnamon sticks;
- salt and pepper to taste;
- 3 table. tablespoons of olive oil.
Rinse the rack and divide it into portions. Rub each slice with salt and pepper. Stir with sprigs of rosemary and olive oil.Set aside for an hour to marinate the meat.
After the specified time, fry the ribs until golden brown in a saucepan or deep frying pan with a thick bottom. Preliminarily, rosemary branches should be removed. Add red wine and broth to the fried meat and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, chop the chopped onion and garlic in a pan. Strongly fry vegetables is not worth it. When a slightly golden color appears, remove from heat. Add to the vegetables the broth in which the stew was stewed, and then grind everything with a blender. Lightly salt.
Pour ribs with the prepared sauce. Stew for another 10 minutes. After that add cinnamon and let it stew for 5-10 minutes. It is advisable not to serve the dish on the table immediately so that the meat is pulled by the aroma of cinnamon.
