Ball hockey is one of the favorite sports of millions of spectators from Russia and abroad. It is noteworthy that only the domestic league is professional; amateur or semi-professional clubs take part in the championships of other countries. The Russian Super League is the most prestigious and popular in the world, because the best players of the planet gather here. Transfers of the 2019-2020 season will tell about the main news of the teams and about the most interesting and intriguing transitions of the players.
Championship 2019-2020
The new draw of the Russian Bendy Championship will be the 28th season. The first tournament took place back in 1936, since then the rules and regulations of this sporting competition have undergone many changes. However, compared with the previous season, no major transformations have occurred.
As before, the championship will begin in November and will last until March. Then the participants will be divided into pairs, and the matches will be played in the playoff format (elimination). At this stage, only those teams that have taken places from 1 to 8 in the table will be able to play. As in the case of the previous Russian hockey championship, 15 clubs will take part in the 2019-2020 season. The championship will be held in a two-round system, all teams will play each other two games: home and away. Scoring is carried out as follows:
- victory is estimated at 3 points;
- a draw will bring the team 1 point in the piggy bank;
- losing will not give a single point.
Transitions that will take place this offseason will help to assess the status of all participants and highlight the favorites of the Russian Ice Hockey Championship 2019-2020 season. Before the start of the Super League, an internal Cup will be played. The competition is more preparatory in nature and allows coaches to add teamwork to their teams and choose the most optimal composition. In the playoff series, the holder of the champion title is determined, which is considered the most prestigious award.
Shootout games will begin in early March. The principle by which pairs are determined is similar to the KHL, that is, the first team will play with the eighth, the second with the seventh, the third with the sixth, and the fourth with the fifth. The semi-finals will include teams that won in full-time confrontation with two victories. From ½ finals, the series will consist of more games, since three wins will need to be won to qualify for the finals. The final will be held in a similar pattern, and participants who fly out in the semifinals will play bronze medals among themselves. The country's champion will receive the honorary right to represent Russia in the international arena.
The change in the composition of clubs in the offseason
In any sport in the offseason, the owners and coaches of the teams try to equip their clubs with the most experienced and useful players. News about the transitions of athletes who will take part in the Russian Championship in 2019-2020 cause great excitement among the fans. Fans follow the careers of players, regardless of whether they move into a strong or weak hockey team. Some clubs are reinforced by eminent hockey players before the start of the new season; others, due to lack of funding, are forced to part with experienced players and rely on young pupils.
Separately, it is worth noting that the list of participating clubs has not changed compared to the previous season.According to the regulations, the team that finished last in the table should fly to the 2nd league, but this does not always happen. The reason is that the Premier League is not professional, and the team that won a prize in it does not always undergo licensing.
