Criteria for writing the exam in the Russian language in 2020

In 2020, the Russian language exam remains mandatory and the main subject of the exam, and we propose to start preparing for the test right now, having learned that the FIPI is preparing 11 new graders and what will be the evaluation criteria for assignment No. 27 (essays).

In 2019, the Unified State Exam in Russian received a number of significant innovations, including:

  • adding one new task (now there are only 27 of them);
  • changing the format of some tasks (in particular, No. 2, 10, 11 and 12);
  • clarification of the wording of task No. 27 and assessment criteria;
  • expanding the range of verified skills from the field of spelling punctuation.

USE 2020

According to Olga Vasilyeva’s statement that in the near future there will be no fundamental changes in the KIMs and the format of the GIA-11, it can be said that the 2020 Unified State Examination in Russian will be identical to last year’s version, including the basic requirements for the preparation and criteria for evaluating the essay .

USE 2020 on the Russian language

The following basic constants will also be relevant:

  • exam duration - 210 minutes (3.5 hours);
  • number of tasks - 27;
  • additional materials - no;
  • maximum primary score - 58;
  • the minimum score is 36 out of 100 test ones.

The date of the exam (main period) is May 28, 2020.

Traditionally, there will be two ways to evaluate graduate work. The first part will be digitized and verified automatically, and the second will be entrusted to experts. In this case, the distribution of primary points between the two parts of the examination paper will be as follows:

Part

Number of tasks

Maximum score

1

26

34

2

1

24

Thus, the points awarded based on the results of the verification of task No. 27 make up 41% of the resulting score, and before you begin intensive preparation, it is important to familiarize yourself with the criteria that experts will rely on when checking the essay on the USE in 2020.

Assessment criteria

Task number 27 (essay) in 2020 will be retained in a new wording introduced in last year's exam. According to the information contained in the specifications for the exam on the subject "Russian language", task number 27 can be performed by the examiner at a basic, advanced or high level of difficulty.

Important! The volume of the text is 150 words! Works in which less than 70 words are not evaluated.

It should be borne in mind that the essay criteria in 2020 also contain such norms:

  • work without reliance on the text given in KIM is not evaluated at all;
  • if the problem is incorrectly formulated, 0 b. put on all 4 points of the block "Content";
  • for an essay representing a rewritten (or retold) text from KIM without comments and arguments, according to criteria No. 7-10, they put 0 bps;
  • if the work contains fragments of text copied from the source, they are not taken into account when determining the volume of words;
  • when accounting for the number of errors in the “Literacy” block, they are repelled from the volume of the text (70-150 or 150-300 words);
  • if the work is less than 150 words, then the “Literacy” block (K7-K12) does not give the highest score;
  • 2 b. for accuracy and expressiveness of speech will be given only if the work receives a maximum of 2 points for compliance with speech standards (K10).

Although in 2020, the exam should not introduce new assessment criteria for assignment No. 27 (essays), getting the maximum score with the established standards will also not be easy. To achieve the desired result, thorough preparation will be required.

Secrets of a 100-point result

Before you start practicing in performing all the tasks of the exam in 2020 in the Russian language, and in particular, writing an essay. About the evaluation criteria discussed, it is worth correctly allocating the time allotted for work.

Important! From 210 minutes, tutors recommend assigning about a third of the time (70 minutes) to task No. 27. It is this timing that should be guided, practicing in writing the work.

Distribution of time on the exam in Russian language

Moreover, many teachers recommend starting the USE in the Russian language precisely from the last assignment, because clearly knowing the assessment criteria and not yet tired of the atmosphere of the exam, it will be much easier for you to cope with the task for the maximum score.

“For” such a distribution speak the facts. The graduate’s brain is accustomed to work cycles of 45 minutes, which means that taking into account the use of internal resources of the body, the first 60-70 minutes of work will be most effective. After a short break and recovery will be required. But the opportunities for the accumulation of strength are different for everyone and the productivity of work, attention, analytical skills and other important parameters may decrease in the second half of a fairly long exam.

The optimal, according to teachers, will be such an algorithm for performing work:

  1. Draft the essay.
  2. Take a short break (5-10 minutes).
  3. Run the tests in draft.
  4. Take a short break (5-10 minutes).
  5. Double-check the answers and fill in the blanks.

USE 2020 memo on the composition of the essay in Russian

Important! You should not rely entirely on ready-made options available on the network.

Firstly, nobody knows the themes of 2020, and by memorizing the most probable, you can simply miss the mark. Secondly, experts who check a lot of work, already from the first lines clearly recognize this type of work, and it’s definitely not worth hoping for a good result for the option available to everyone on the Internet.

At the same time, having spent not so much time and learning how to write your own unique essay in accordance with relevant criteria, you can easily open up any topic and get the desired high score in Russian at the USE 2020.

If you don’t know what to start with, we suggest you start preparation by watching a video in which the teacher tells in detail how to write an essay according to the criteria that were introduced at the Unified State Exam 2019 and will remain relevant in 2020:
