Oil week is an ancient Slavic holiday, which is celebrated just before the beginning of Lent. In 2020, the first of a series of 7 holidays will be February 24th. Wednesday - Gourmet
On this day, pancakes must be baked all mother-in-law, trying to please the sons-in-law and to please the daughters. We offer to invite children to visit in an original way - by sending a son-in-law a comic invitation card.
Thursday - revelry
If youth festivities were held on Tuesday, then on Thursday people of all ages went out into the street, because from this day all work stopped and the celebration season officially began (Wide Maslyanitsa).
Traditionally, fairs, various competitions, jumping over fire, horseback riding and, of course, the battle for the "Snow City", in which both children and adults, participated with pleasure, were held.

Friday - the evening party
On this day, the mother-in-law came to the house of the son-in-law and daughter "for pancakes" on a return visit. Although such a visit is traditional and does not require an invitation, mother-in-law / mother will be pleased to receive a card in advance with a hint that she will be glad to see her at a party.
Saturday - Zolovkin gatherings
Traditionally, on the 6th day, Maslyana always invited all the young relatives (in particular, the sisters and their families) from her husband, as well as at the request of friends and relatives from the bride.
Sunday - farewell
Sunday is the last day of the Carnivore before the beginning of Great Lent. This is the last day when you can enjoy delicious and satisfying pancakes from the heart, so Maslyana's farewell has always been celebrated noisily and merrily. On this day, festivities were organized, in the final of which a stuffed Pancake week was burned.
Sunday is the last day for celebrations and congratulations, therefore, a postcard with Shrovetide should be special - we suggest that in 2020 we will please relatives and friends with a themed animated picture.
