The period of the New Year holidays has traditionally become a time of increased risks to the health of Russians: the number of injuries, food poisoning is increasing, cardiovascular diseases are aggravating, etc. Therefore, the need for medical assistance and visits to clinics even during the New Year holidays remains high. To determine where and which specialist should be consulted, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with when the clinics begin to work in January 2020 and according to what schedule individual specialists will be admitted.
Clinics work in different regions
In accordance with production calendar the beginning of January is a long weekend. Non-working days will be the dates from January 1 to 8, inclusive. Based on the production calendar, a working time schedule is compiled for all federal districts and regions of Russia, so it will be the same for all large and small cities, regional centers and villages. In Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk and other settlements, the work of polyclinics and the regimen for the appointment of doctors will take place according to a single schedule.
Exceptions apply only to private medical institutions, but in most cases their individual schedule coincides with the production calendar of municipal medical institutions.
Clinics for adults
In the cities for a long period of holidays, there is a duty clinic and an on-site therapist. It is he who receives patients in need of medical care during the holidays. This specialist can advise an adult or refer him to a specialist.
Therapists on duty during the first days of January will work according to this schedule:
- weekdays - 9-00 - 16-00;
- weekend - 9-00 - 16-00.
In addition, patients will be treated at home according to the same schedule from 9-00 to 16-00 on weekdays and weekends.
If a person urgently needs a consultation with a specialist, the therapist will be able to tell which clinic in this district is on duty. In this medical institution, patients during the New Year holidays will be able to visit doctors of such narrow specialties:
- ENT;
- surgeon;
- neurologist;
- ophthalmologist;
- physiotherapist, etc.
January 1 and 7 are official public holidays, so most of the above doctors will not work, but from January 2 to 6 and 8 they will be receiving from 9-00 to 16-00.
The situation is the same with dentists: in each district, an on-call dentist will be identified who can provide emergency care to patients with acute pain or the need for surgical intervention.
Women who are registered for pregnancy or needing to be examined by a gynecologist for antenatal clinics for another reason need to know that antenatal clinics work from 9-00 to 15-00 in the first week of January, and return to the standard schedule after January 8.
Points that provide emergency care - emergency rooms, maternity hospitals - work throughout the New Year holidays around the clock.
Children's Clinics
From January 1 to January 8, from 9-00 to 15-00, a pediatrician will conduct an appointment at each children's clinic. In the same mode, you can call a pediatrician at home.
In each district, a duty clinic will be defined, where children will be able to receive narrow specialists: neuropathologists, oculists, surgeons, etc.Emergency centers where pediatric traumatologists receive patients will work in reduced mode from 8-00 to 20-00. At other times, you can contact the 24-hour emergency room for adults.
Ambulance points throughout January, without exception, will operate around the clock.
Thus, the Russian population will not be left without medical care during the New Year holidays, and all patients will be able to receive qualified help from general practitioners and specialized specialists.
