In the spring of 2020, the premiere of the film Godzilla vs. King Kong is planned. This is another confrontation between the two most famous monsters, which was first described in 1962. And now, after more than fifty years, the greatest battle will be repeated again.
Characters
King Kong is a gorilla-like monster invented in America and first appeared on the screen in 1933. In addition to its amazing strength, Kong is also able to jump high and far, which is inherent in primates.
Godzilla is the result of the imagination of Japanese filmmakers. It was invented after the 1950s, and the first film about a dinosaur-like mutant lizard came out in 1954. It emits laser beams from its mouth and also floats very well.
What is for Godzilla, what is for King Kong, this is not the first film. About each shot about a dozen paintings. But if Kong is usually the main character of American films, then Godzilla is the main character in Japanese cinema. The new film, Godzilla vs. King Kong, is the second collaboration between the United States and Japan (the first was in 1962).
The first film was called almost the same: King Kong vs. Godzilla. In the new concise name, only the names of the heroes are interchanged. It is noteworthy that in 1962, after the final epic dive of the fighting monsters into the ocean, only King Kong sailed. Does this mean that in the new film the lizard mutant will win, since his name is in the first place? We learn only in 2020.
Idea
This is not to say that single films about King Kong and Godzilla were not successful. But the story about their confrontation is many times more interesting and attractive. Two huge monsters from different ecosystems simply cannot exist together on the same territory, so they see competitors in each other. People who are forced to become witnesses and victims of this fantastic struggle suffer from this.
It is also curious that in most films King Kong opposed humanity. Rather, people were the first to provoke a giant gorilla in order to study its origin. Therefore, many viewers consider Kong not a ruthless monster, but a tragic antihero, capable of mental torment. This is especially vividly shown in the films King Kong (1976) and King Kong Alive (1986).
Godzilla often fought with other creatures: with sea monsters, with a mechanical double, with a three-headed dragon. Therefore, the scope for the script for the new film was enormous. The creators of "Godzilla vs. King Kong" could well combine several ideas and make a blockbuster on how the two giants will first fight and then make friends. But this is only the speculation of the audience from numerous forums.
Filming
The production of Godzilla vs. King Kong began only in November 2018, but the creators claim that everything will be ready by spring 2020. There is even an exact release date: May 21. The project producers were inspired by the success of Godzilla, released in 2014. The Legendary film company and Warner Brothers took up the creation of a new story.
The budget of the film is $ 200 million, so the picture will be at least spectacular. The viewer is in anticipation: he is waiting for enchanting episodes obtained with the help of modern computer capabilities: graphics and special effects.

The script "Godzilla vs. King Kong" 2020 was written by Terry Rossio, who has an indefatigable imagination and proved it with his numerous works: all parts of "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Mask of Zorro" (1998), "Road to Eldorado" (2000). He was also a member of the scripting group in the work on Godzilla (1998), so he knows the features of at least this character.
The director’s chair was occupied by Adam Wingard, whose portfolio includes the following projects: “A Terrible Way to Die” (2010), “Death Note” (2017). Yes, Wingard specializes in horror, so the chilling scenes in Godzilla vs. King Kong 2020 will surely be many.

Cast
One of the main human roles in Godzilla vs. King Kong 2020 - Captain Jason Conrad - will be played by Tom Hiddleston. Tom Hiddleston is also remembered for the role of the same experienced ranger Conrad in the film “Kong: Skull Island” (2017). Charming photographer Mason Weaver (actress Bree Larson) will also appear in the new film.
Of the recently acclaimed actors in Godzilla vs. King Kong, Danai Gurir, the dark-skinned beauty from Black Panther (2018), will be seen. Another witness to the battle of two powerful giants will be the young actor Julian Dennison, who played a difficult teenager in Deadpool 2 (2018).
